Introduction of M9-06 Infrared oil detector

The m9-06 infrared oil detector is suitable for the new standard (hj637-2018 “determination of petroleum, animal and vegetable oils in water quality by infrared spectrophotometry”), and the instrument adopts double extraction method, carbon tetrachloride and tetrachloroethylene in the instrument of “determination of oil smoke and oil mist from stationary pollution source by infrared spectrophotometry HJ 1077-2019”.
When the sample volume is 500ml, the extraction liquid volume is 50ml, and the 4cm quartz cuvette is used, the detection limit is 0.06mg/l, and the detection limit is 0.24mg/l.
The infrared oil detector is based on this principle, using infrared spectrophotometer to measure. After scanning the sample spectrum, it can display and print the wave number position of the sample spectrum and absorption peak, and can quickly and accurately measure all the oil concentration in the water body.

Principle introduction of m9-06 infrared oil detector

Under the condition of pH ≤ 2, the water sample is extracted with tetrachloroethylene, and the oil is determined after the extraction liquid is adsorbed with magnesium silicate to remove polar substances such as animal and vegetable oils. The contents of oil and petroleum are calculated by the absorbance a2930, a2960 and a3030 at wave numbers of 2930 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH2 group), 2960 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in CH group) and 3030 cm-1 (stretching vibration of C-H bond in aromatic ring), respectively. The content of animal and vegetable oil is the difference between oil and petroleum.

Matters needing attention when using m9-06 infrared spectrophotometer:

  1. The instrument should be preheated for 30 minutes before measurement;
  1. The CCl4 used in the oil detector should be above analytical purity and purified by activated carbon filtration or distillation. It can be used only after the instrument is verified to be qualified. The verification method can refer to the relevant parts of this manual;
  1. When operating the instrument, gloves should be worn, ventilation facilities should be opened to maintain air circulation to prevent carbon tetrachloride volatilization from causing damage to human body;
  1. Lighting optical devices should be avoided to touch by hand and dust contamination should be avoided as far as possible. If the optical mirror is stained with fingerprints or dust, the mirror surface can be washed with absolute alcohol or acetone under the guidance of technical personnel. The grating can not be cleaned in this way and can only be maintained by professionals;
  1. The oil measurement files are stored in the directory of C: oildata / DAT, and Z often backs up the oildata folder on other disks;
  1. If abnormal phenomena are found during operation, turn off the power supply of the instrument host and the microcomputer, and then restart the machine.
