BCT-D02 Series Dry Cold Trap

Product Overview

A cold trap captures gases by condensation on a cooled surface. Positioned between a vacuum vessel and the pump, it adsorbs gases or captures oil vapor. Unlike conventional cold traps, a dry cold trap requires no freezing medium and directly cools the vessel, providing a large cooling area and high recovery efficiency. It is widely used for exhaust-gas recovery during distillation and concentration, and for organic solvent extraction and collection in conjunction with vacuum drying ovens.

User-Friendly Design

  • The compact design meets the needs of laboratories with limited space;
  • The tempered-glass top cover allows laboratory personnel to observe the condition of recovered liquid in the cold trap vessel in real time;
  • The front airflow baffle has a magnetic cover. Laboratory personnel can quickly open the front cover without tools to clean accumulated dust from the condenser;
  • The cold trap vessel uses ANSI304 stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion and is easy to clean;
  • The vessel has a drain valve and liquid collection tube for convenient liquid collection, cleaning and maintenance;

Direct Air Cooling

  • The dry cold trap uses direct cooling without other cooling media. Direct cooling of the vessel provides a larger cooling contact area, high recovery efficiency and convenient operation;

Improved Vacuum Efficiency

  • The dry cold trap can be used with a vacuum drying oven. During drying, samples with a high water content generate large amounts of water vapor. If this vapor is removed solely by the vacuum pump, pump efficiency becomes extremely low;

Vacuum Pump Protection

  • Corrosive reagents are often present during evacuation. They become gas molecules that flow through the piping and vacuum pump into the atmosphere. The dry cold trap effectively condenses and collects corrosive gases before they enter the pump, reducing damage and extending pump service life;

LCD Control System

  • The LCD controller displays multiple data sets on one screen. The menu-based interface provides accurate, reliable temperature control and convenient setting and display of the cold trap vessel temperature, allowing operating conditions to be checked at any time;

Energy Saving and Environmental Protection

  • The cold trap refrigeration system uses internationally advanced CFC-free refrigeration technology, with an internationally branded compressor and circulating fan. The environmentally friendly refrigerant provides high efficiency and low energy consumption. The system also offers low noise, a compact size, rapid cooling and a long service life. Compared with conventional equipment, cooling time is reduced by more than 30%, with stable performance maintained during long-term operation;

Safety Functions

  • Compressor protection against overheating, overcurrent and overload;
  • Audible alarms for high and low temperature;
  • Compressor overpressure alarm;

Convenient Data Processing (Optional)

  • An optional printer or 485 communication interface and USB interface enable computer display or export of experimental data, providing reliable support for data storage and playback during experiments;
